Northland Psychological Assessment Services, LLC, currently employs Dr. Kevin B. Murch. Dr. Murch has training and experience in performing a wide variety of psychological assessments and treatment. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Missouri - Columbia, obtaining bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Biology. He attended graduate school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he initially studied neuroscience before ultimately completing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. During graduate school, he underwent training in a juvenile detention facility, where he conducted assessments and provided group and individual therapy to detainees and those on community supervision. At Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Murch worked for 12 months on the Consult Liaison Psychiatry service conducting assessments and treatment with individuals experiencing acute and chronic medical stressors. Additionally, Dr. Murch trained for 12 months at the Psychological Assessment Service at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he conducted clinical and neuropsychological assessments of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric populations as well as providing group therapy for a brain injury support group. He subsequently underwent several years of training under two board certified forensic psychologists in private practice in Dallas, Texas (Price, Proctor, & Associates, LLP), where he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology as well as two additional years of supervised training in forensic and neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Murch also has multiple years of experience in providing psychological counseling services to outpatients. Dr. Murch continues to attend continuing education workshops relevant to his primary areas of practice and has taught graduate and undergraduate coursework in psychological assessment and forensic psychology.
